Try All Position, But Focus on One
If you want to learn the ins and outs of a position, you will need to play that position over and over again.
You’ve heard the saying “practice makes perfect.” Well, the same thing applies here.
Make Sure You Buy Wards
Wards are an important part of League of Legends, but new players don’t pay enough attention to them. This is probably because they cost gold and players are saving up for things they think are more important.
The thing is, wards give you an advantage by giving you the vision of your enemies. This will help prevent ganks from enemies and it gives you a vision of the important objectives.
Look at the Mini-Map
You must have map awareness when playing League of Legends. I recommend taking a glance at the mini-map every 30 seconds or so.
You must know what’s going on in your immediate vicinity. You should also keep track of the events taking place off-screen too. Not doing this can cause you to easily be taken by surprise by an enemy.
Be Cautious When Pushing Your Lane
You don’t want to push your lane out too far. When your lane is pushed out, it means you’re closer to your enemy’s turret than they are to yours.
This makes you susceptible to ganks by the enemy. Remember, you should always keep your eye on the mini-map so that you can see where your enemy is.
